An essential component of maintaining womens health is cervical screening tests. Also known as pap-smears. Australian health services recommend that you get a pap exam every five years for women between the ages of 25-74.
Breast cancer screenings are to take place every two years from 50 to 74. However, screenings are available from 40 to 49 and 75+; simply discuss your individual needs and circumstances with your doctor first to see if this may be necessary.
Everybody, both men and women, should be having regular bowel cancer screenings every two years. It is recommended that you start this process at the age of 50.
